The westbound lane of Chapin Street (Linden Street to Oak Street) will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6.

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is providing weekly updates about the paving project in Brattleboro. 

Elliot Street will be closed between the entrance to Harmony Lot and Church Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Street-side parking will be unavailable on Canal Street, High Street, and Western Avenue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on July 21–25.

The Whetstone Pathway will be closed July 21-23 for necessary resealing work to improve safety, accessibility, and longevity.

Brookside Timber Harvesting has postponed its work at Kikitta Ahki, the park located at 250 Birge Street in Brattleboro, until July 15.

VTrans' paving project will impact street-side parking on Canal Street. 

There will be no parking on Church Street during construction hours and motorists should plan alternative routes. 

Property owners are responsible for maintaining vegetation on their property if it may interfere with the public right of way.

The first floor of the Transportation Center will be closed to vehicle and pedestrians from July 7 through early August.

Travelers to Downtown Brattleboro should anticipate traffic delays on June 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. 

VTrans has scheduled paving projects this summer and into 2026 throughout Brattleboro and on U.S. Route 5 from Brattleboro to Putney. 

There will be a lane restriction in this area, and motorists should expect delays and plan alternate routes. 

A full road closure can be expected from the intersection of Abbott Road and Greenleaf Street to the intersection of Abbott Road and Gateway Farm Lane.

Church Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. due to a sewer line repair.

Please be advised there will be a full road closure from 8 a.m. through noon. 

The work will include pruning and cabling of healthy trees to lengthen their lives, and the removal of any dead trees in seven Brattleboro parks. 

This year leaves and yard waste will be picked up according to your normal trash, compost, and recycling pick up day. 

Water main flushing begins April 18 through May 9.
