Town Clerk
For further assistance, contact the Town Clerk's Office, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. The office is closed to the public on Wednesdays, every election day, the day following all elections, and the Monday prior to Town Meeting Day.
The Brattleboro Town Clerk's office is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks. Some of the Town Clerk’s Office responsibilities include: issuing birth, death and marriage license copies; marriage licenses; dog licenses; liquor and tobacco licenses and permits; annual entertainment licenses; and Green Mountain Passport cards. The Office prepares for Elections and Representative Town Meeting, and is responsible for recording Land Records and selling cemetery plots.

Polls will be open on August 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the American Legion, 32 Linden Street.
August State Primary elections will be held on August 11, 2026. There are three major ways to vote in these elections.
If you received a ballot packet but are missing your ballot, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office.
Effective May 13, 2026, the Town Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public every Wednesday.
