This event will take place at the lower softball field at Living Memorial Park.

The Rec & Parks Department and Senior Center are holding additional pickleball hours this spring!

Applications will be accepted through April 4, 2025.

The Brattleboro Winter Carnival is has events and activities for the whole family from February 15-23!

In observance of Presidents’ Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, with the exception of emergency services.

Rec & Parks will be offering youth indoor soccer and chess this winter.

The Skating Facility will have a modified schedule in early January due to the BHA Tournament.

Due to the construction projects, drivers may experience delays at Living Memorial Park. The Lower Parking Lot will still be available.

The Municipal Center, Gibson-Aiken Center, and DPW offices will be closed on Dec. 13 from 7 to 10 a.m.

Each class is led by a doctor of physical therapy who will modify exercises and provide personalized guidance based on your starting point.

Rec & Parks is hosting two sessions of Ice Skating “FUN”damentals this upcoming skating season.

Rec & Parks is offering Swords and Boards, a regular Dungeons & Dragons group, at the Gibson-Aiken Center.

Pick-up games will be on Wednesday and Friday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning October 23, 2024.

While removing an item from Town property, if it's determined to be something other than garbage that is not a risk to our staff, we will retain the item for 14 days before disposing it.

Registration for Session 2 of gymnastics classes is now available! These classes are intended for those ages 5 through 14 years old.

Starting this fall, Reily Mumpton will offer another Youth Fencing session for those 7 to 12 years old.

The Living Memorial Park Pool hours of operation will be reduced the week of August 4 and August 11 to 1–6 p.m. 

Due to the forecast, the annual pool party has been canceled for 2024.

Due to a theater rental, parking will be limited at Living Memorial Park on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is offering FREE concerts at the Brattleboro Common on Tuesday evenings in July. Shows begin at 7 p.m. 

Due to inclement weather, this event has been rescheduled to July 10, 2024.

The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department welcomes the community to provide feedback on conceptual design options for the proposed improvements to the pool and aquatics facilities at Living Memorial Park. Join Rec & Parks and members of the design consultant team at the pool on June 25 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The rain date is June 26. The pool is located at Living Memorial Park at 61 Guilford Street, Brattleboro. This is an opportunity for the public to weigh in and review the results of prior input sessions held during the summer and fall of 2023.  This session continues the work of the feasibility study

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures in the upper 90s and a heat index over 100.

The main pool will open on June 15 at 1 p.m. Swim lesson sign-ups for Brattleboro residents will occur  June 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The fund has distributed more than 30 grants to support the development and refurbishment of parks, trails, and public amenities.

Rec & Parks and Ed Powers will offer Tennis Camp for those 10 to 18 years old at the BUHS Tennis Courts. 

The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is pleased to announce that the Living Memorial Park Pool will be offering Swim Lessons for children who are three years old by June 15, 2024.

This event will include a helmet fitting, safety information, bike rodeo, and more! Helmets will be free this year.

There will be two sessions of baseball, and one session of softball this summer.

The egg hunt will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. for children ages 4 and under, and at 9:45 a.m. for those ages 5 and older.

The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department is offering Boy's and Girl's Youth Lacrosse for those in grades 2-6.  Boy's Youth Lacrosse will have two practices a week and will focus on fundamentals and skill building. Try a new sport or refine your skills! A minimum of 10 participants are required to run this program. Participants should provide their own equipment (mouth guard, cleats/sneakers, a water bottle, a boys lacrosse stick, and helmet and pads.) At this time this group is strictly skills and drills-based and will not play any games against other towns. The fee is $20 for Brattleboro residents; $35 for non-Brattleboro residents.   Registration: Individuals can register online

The Nelson Withington Skating Facility will be closing for the season on Sunday, March 3, 2024, following the last program. 

Sign up for T-Ball starting March 4. This program is for those born between Sept. 1, 2019, and Aug. 31, 2020.

The Winter Carnival returns February 17-25 and includes includes events at Living Memorial Park, the Gibson-Aiken Center, and Brooks Memorial Library!
