Licenses and Permits

There are many activities, events, and projects that require permits or licenses issued by the Town. Choose from the list on the left sidebar to find detailed information about permits required and the process to obtain them.

Businesses operating in Brattleboro need to obtain both a business license and sign permits. Taxicabs and Vendors need permits separate from the general business license.

State Permits

Some town offices also issue additional permits on behalf of the state. Brattleboro does not issue these documents. Click on the links below to the state offices for those forms.
