In observance of Memorial Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, with the exception of emergency services. 

After extensive negotiations, the Town has signed a new contract for trash and recycling collection, and will launch a town-owned compost program starting July 6, 2026. 

The Brattleboro Department of Public Works has published an interactive map to help the public track the progress of various projects happening in 2026. 

Oak Grove Avenue will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for sewer line repair. Motorists should plan alternative routes. 

Flat Street will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, April 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., between the intersection of Flat and Main and the entrance of the Latchis parking lot.
