Crews will relocate a power line starting at the top of Melchen Road and work their way down toward Hinesburg Road.

The southbound lane of Canal Street will be closed from South Main Street to Elm Street on Nov. 12.

Brannan St. Closure Begins Sept. 3
Contractors will replace a retaining wall near the eastern intersection of Brannan Street and Williams Street. The work is expected to take several weeks.
Announcements for Labor Day 2024
In observance of Labor Day, all Town offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, with the exception of emergency services. Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2. All other violations will be enforced. Brooks Memorial Library will be closed on Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2. Trash, recycling and composting WILL NOT be picked up on Monday, September 2, 2024. All curbside collections will be delayed by one day all week.

In observance of Presidents’ Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Feb. 6: Expect One-Way Traffic on Western Ave
On Feb. 6, Western Ave will have alternating one-way traffic with flaggers between the two ends of Meadowbrook Road for most of the day.
Temporary Bridge Street/Route 119 Closure
On Wednesday, January 17, contractors for the New Hampshire Bridge Project will be moving a steel structure from New Hampshire to Depot Street on the Vermont side of the existing bridge.
Ames Hill Road Closure – Dec. 22, 2023
On Friday, December 22, a contractor will be working in the roadway on Ames Hill at the Robb Farm. The road will be open with restricted traffic and occasional short delays. Please plan accordingly and avoid the area if possible.

With the amount of rain and snow melt from higher elevations, Brattleboro is experiencing flooding prominently in the West Brattleboro area. We are expected to see high winds, which could cause downed power lines and power outages.
Meadowbrook Road Closure - Dec. 7, 2023
On Thursday, December 7, beginning at 8 a.m., the Highway Division will be replacing a failed culvert in front of 961 Meadowbrook Road. The road will be closed during the project.
Winter Parking Ban in Effect
The winter parking ban will go into effect, starting Wednesday, November 15, 2023. This ban will remain in effect until April 15, 2024.
