Update: Brattleboro-Hinsdale Bridge Expected to Open Dec. 4
The bridge is anticipated to open a day earlier than expected due to inclement weather in the forecast on Dec. 5.
Melchen Road Closure Nov. 18-22
Crews will relocate a power line starting at the top of Melchen Road and work their way down toward Hinesburg Road.

The southbound lane of Canal Street will be closed from South Main Street to Elm Street on Nov. 12.

A Note About Lost/Abandoned Items on Town Property
While removing an item from Town property, if it's determined to be something other than garbage that is not a risk to our staff, we will retain the item for 14 days before disposing it.

The Utilities Division will be replacing a sewer line on Upper Forest Street from Sept. 3-6, 2024.
Brannan St. Closure Begins Sept. 3
Contractors will replace a retaining wall near the eastern intersection of Brannan Street and Williams Street. The work is expected to take several weeks.
Announcements for Labor Day 2024
In observance of Labor Day, all Town offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, with the exception of emergency services. Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2. All other violations will be enforced. Brooks Memorial Library will be closed on Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2. Trash, recycling and composting WILL NOT be picked up on Monday, September 2, 2024. All curbside collections will be delayed by one day all week.
Town Celebrates Completion of New Water Treatment Facility

Sidewalk Replacement on Western Ave. Begins July 15
Beginning July 15, the sidewalk on Western Avenue from Edward Heights to Greenleaf Street will be replaced. This work is expected to take several weeks.
