Pre-Kindergarten Soccer
Ages: 4 and 5 (must be 4 by Sept. 1)
Where: Living Memorial Park (LOWER FIELD)
Time: 5 to 5:45 p.m.
When: WEDNESDAYS ONLY! September 10 through October 8
Fee: $30 residents, $45 non-resident
Notes: Limit of 15 participants. Shin guards are required! Please bring a water bottle.
Kindergarten Soccer
Where: Living Memorial Park (LOWER FIELD)
Time: 4 to 4:45 p.m. or 5 to 5:45 p.m.
When: MONDAYS ONLY! September 8 through October 6
Fee: $30 Brattleboro residents, $45 non-Brattleboro residents
Notes: Limit of 15 per group kids. Shin guards are required. This is run as an instructional program and focuses on skill development.
Youth Soccer League
Grades 1 & 2: One weekday practice and a Saturday morning game
Grades 3 & 4: One weekday practice and a Saturday morning game.
Grades 5 & 6: One or two weekday practices, and weekday or weekend game. 5 & 6 grade teams will participate in the Tri-County League, traveling to neighboring towns.
Where: West River Park or Living Memorial Park
When: Practice begins the week of September 8. Games begin the week of September 22 for grades 1, 2, 3 & 4. Grades 5 & 6 games begin the week of September 7.
Fee: $40 Brattleboro resident, $55 non-Brattleboro resident
Notes: Shin guards and required for all games and practices. Please bring a water bottle. Practice days and times are TBD.
Youth Flag Football
Ages: Grades 1-3 and grades 4-6
Where: Fort Dummer Field
Time: 6 to 7 p.m.
When: September 15 , 22 , 29 & October 6
Fee: $30 resident, $45 non-resident
Notes: Minimum of 10 participants to run. The program is run by BUHS Varsity football coaches and players. Mouthguards are required. Please wear cleats or sneakers. Don’t forget your water bottle!
Youth Chess Classes
Where: Gibson-Aiken Center, Large Conference Room
Fee: $60 Brattleboro residents, $75 non-resident
When: FRIDAYS ONLY! Sept. 12 through Nov. 21
Time: 3:30 p.m.– 4:45 p.m..
Instructor: Eric Strickland
Notes: Intermediate-level only. Players must know basic checkmates and at least a few tactics and strategies.
Gymnastics Classes
Ages: 18 months to 14 years old (Parent Tot Classes: 18 months to 3-and-a-half years old)
Where: Gibson-Aiken Center Gymnastic Room
Dates: September 2 to November 3, 2025
Fee: $120 for Brattleboro residents; $135 for non-Brattleboro residents
Monday Classes:
- Ages 3 to 5 — 3:15 to 4 p.m.
Tuesday Classes:
- Ages 5 to 8 — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Ages 5 to 12 — 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Ages 7 to 12 — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Ninja, Ages 5 to 8 — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday Classes:
- Parent Tot* — 10 to 10:40 a.m.
- Ages 3 to 5 — 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.
- Home School, 5 to 10 — 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Ages 5 to 10 — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday Classes:
- Parent Tot* — 10 to 10:40 a.m.
- Ages 3 to 5 — 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.
- Ages 5 to 10 — 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.
- Ages 3 to 5 — 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.
- Ages 7 to 12 — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Ninja, Ages 8 to 13 — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday Classes:
- Ages 5 to 10 — 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
- Ninja, Ages 5 to 10 — 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
**Each class has a minimum of 4 kids to run.**
Notes: Wear tight-fitting clothes and bring a water bottle

Youth Ice Hockey
Boys and girls team hockey for all ages. This Program is not sponsored by the Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department. The school is neither endorsing the activities or discouraging participation.
This program is for those 5 to 9 years old at the time of registration. For a registration fee of $225, the program includes:
- A full set of equipment to keep. Valued at $550 retail.
- A professional personalized fitting led by Pure Hockey’s fit experts.
- Four weeks of on-ice instruction led by certified coaches beginning Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025 at 4:10 p.m.
