The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is pleased to announce that the Living Memorial Park Pool will be offering Swim Lessons for children who are three years old by June 15, 2024.

Baseball/Softball Camp 2024
There will be two sessions of baseball, and one session of softball this summer.
Annual Egg Hunt is March 30, 2024
The egg hunt will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. for children ages 4 and under, and at 9:45 a.m. for those ages 5 and older.
Sign-Up for Spring '24 Lacrosse Season
The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department is offering Boy's and Girl's Youth Lacrosse for those in grades 2-6. Boy's Youth Lacrosse will have two practices a week and will focus on fundamentals and skill building. Try a new sport or refine your skills! A minimum of 10 participants are required to run this program. Participants should provide their own equipment (mouth guard, cleats/sneakers, a water bottle, a boys lacrosse stick, and helmet and pads.) At this time this group is strictly skills and drills-based and will not play any games against other towns. The fee is $20 for Brattleboro residents; $35 for non-Brattleboro residents. Skating Rink to Close for Season March 3, 2024
The Nelson Withington Skating Facility will be closing for the season on Sunday, March 3, 2024, following the last program.
Registration for "Intro to T-Ball" Begins March 4
Sign up for T-Ball starting March 4. This program is for those born between Sept. 1, 2019, and Aug. 31, 2020.
2024 Brattleboro Winter Carnival
The Winter Carnival returns February 17-25 and includes includes events at Living Memorial Park, the Gibson-Aiken Center, and Brooks Memorial Library!

Public Skate Schedule Change - Feb. 16 & 17
Public Skating will NOT be available on Feb. 16 and 17 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Rec & Parks Department will be offering additional Open Gym and Game Room hours at the Gibson-Aiken Center and additional public skating hours at the rink.

Town Offices Closed on MLK Day
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, with the exception of emergency services.
Skating Rink Schedule Changes
The Annual BHA Hockey Tournament will affect the regular schedule at the Nelson Withington Skating Facility on Jan. 5-7 and 10.

Earlier this year, the Town of Brattleboro made strides toward environmental sustainability by transitioning some of its gas-powered handheld tools to eco-friendly, electric-powered alternatives. By adopting greener gear, the Town aims to significantly decrease its carbon footprint.
