BrattleBOO and the Horribles Parade 2026

BrattleBOO & The Horribles Parade is almost here! Join the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance and the Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department for a night of trick-or-treating and other fun, family-friendly activities!

Trick-or-Treating Downtown from 5–7 p.m. — Join us for Downtown Brattleboro-style trick-or-treating. Kids can wander store-to-store for tricks and treats. Just look for the pumpkin decal on participating doorways. We’re VERY excited to mention that every location will have a non-food item option in addition to candy. Rec & Parks is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event in the back parking lot of the Gibson-Aiken Center from 5 to 7 p.m. The cars participating in the Trunk-or-Treat are owned and staffed by members of local organizations and Brattleboro businesses. They will be handing out candy, small treats, and other surprises while supplies last. Mama T's Sweet Spot will be selling food during the Trunk-or-Treat event! Vermont Center for Photography will also be offering costume portraits at the DBA’s new office, located at 22 High Street.

Get Ready for the Parade at 5:30 p.m. — Meet Sgt. Cody Johnson of the Brattleboro Police Department to decorate bikes for the Horribles Parade. Bring a bike to the footbridge by the Co-op. Sgt. Johnson has all the light-up decorations, and then ride your bike in the parade!

Parade Starts at 6 p.m. — All ghosts and goblins are invited to walk in the annual Horribles Parade. Those wanting to participate should meet at the Brattleboro Co-op parking lot on the Whetstone Pathway by 6 p.m. Please park in the public lots or garage on Flat Street. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. sharp and proceed up Main Street to the Gibson-Aiken Center.
