
Youth Basketball Fall 2025
The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is offering youth basketball for those in kindergarten through grade 6 this fall. Please wear sneakers and bring a water bottle to each practice and game.
Volunteer coaches are needed for all age groups.
Kindergarten Basketball
This program is for children in kindergarten only. The fee is $45 for Brattleboro residents and $60 for non-Brattleboro residents. T-shirts are included in this fee.
This program will be once a week and runs from Monday, Jan. 5 to Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. Please note this program does not meet on January 19. Participants will learn the basics of basketball such as dribbling, shooting, passing, etc.
Grades 1-2 Instructional Coed Basketball
This program is for children in grades 1 and 2 only. The fee for the program is $45 for Brattleboro residents and $60 for non-Brattleboro residents. T-shirts are included in the fee.
This program gives children a great opportunity to learn basic basketball skills while getting exercise, instruction and having loads of fun. The season runs from December through February. Players will have a practice once a week and all games are on Friday evenings.
Girls Youth Basketball League, Grades 3-4 and 5-6
This league is for girls in grades 3-6. The Senior Division is for girls in grades 5 and 6, and the Junior Division for girls in grades 3 and 4.
The fee for the program is $60 for Brattleboro residents and $75 for non-Brattleboro residents. T-shirts are included in the fee. Volunteer coaches are needed. The season runs from December through February. Players will have one practice and one game a week. Games will be held on Saturday mornings. Games will be played at the Gibson-Aiken Center or in neighboring towns as part of the Tri-County League.
Grade Boys Youth Basketball, Grades 3-4 and 5-6
This league is for boys in grades 3-6. The Senior Division is for boys in grades 5 and 6, and Junior Division is for boys in grades 3 and 4.

Registration
Individuals can register online or in person Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Gibson-Aiken Center beginning Oct. 6, 2025.
A $10 late fee will begin on Nov. 17. Registrations will be accepted until Nov. 28. At that point, anyone wanting to sign up will be added to a waitlist.
