Open Gym and Game Room

The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to announce that it will again offer Free Open Gym and Game Room.

Free Open Gym and Game Room begins Monday, October 19, 2026, and continues until Saturday, April 24, 2027. Please note that this program is strictly broken down by grades on specific days. Please see the schedule below:

Day Time Grades
Mondays 3 to 5 p.m. Grades K-6th Grade
Tuesdays 3 to 5 p.m. Grades 7th-12th Grade
Wednesdays 3 to 4:45 p.m. Grades K-6th Grade
Thursdays 3 to 5 p.m. Grades 7th-12th Grade
Fridays 3 to 5 p.m. Grades K-6th Grade
Saturdays 1 to 3 p.m. 7th Grade-Adults

Open Gym and Game Room is a supervised and unstructured program that offers a safe and fun environment for children after school. This program provides a space where participants can shoot hoops, do homework, and use the game room to play bumper pool, foosball, air hockey, and table tennis. 

Come and play with your children or leave them in the care of the wonderful Brattleboro Recreation & Parks staff! Please note that those under the age of seven must be signed in and an emergency number must be left with staff if a parent does not plan to stay.

The Gym is closed on Sundays. The basketball court is for basketball only. Sneakers must be worn on the gym floor. Other activities include board games, Legos, chalk wall, Giant Connect Four, drawing, and more.
