The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is hosting numerous events throughout the holiday season, along with some special programs before kicking off the new year. View the full brochure here.

Skating Facility: The Nelson Withington Skating Facility is open for the season! Additional public skating hours on Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and 31 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. In addition, there will be FREE public skating from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 31. Skate rentals are available for $3.
Additional Open Gym and Game Room Hours: Held at the Gibson-Aiken Center on Dec. 23, 26, 27 and 30 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. for grades K-12th grade. Open Gym & Game Room is a FREE, supervised program with a variety of activities to choose from. Along with basketball, there is foosball, air hockey, pool, arts & crafts, Legos and more! Feel free to check them in with the Recreation & Parks staff, or stay and play with them!
Winter Mini-Camp: Dec. 23, 26, 27 & 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For children ages 5-11. Pre-register by Dec. 20. $15/day for Brattleboro residents; $18/day non-residents. Free extended Open Gym 1:30 to 5 p.m.
Bowling: Dec. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brattleboro Bowl, Putney Road. All ages (Under 10 must be with an adult). $12, includes 2 games, shoes, hot dog & drink.
Family Snowshoeing & Cross Country Skiing: The Brattleboro Outing Club has miles of well-groomed ski trails for beginners to advanced skiers, as well as 3+ miles of well-marked snowshoe trails. Rentals at the BOC Ski Hut, to be returned by 3 p.m. (This event is weather dependent and will be canceled if there is little or no snow) Dec. 26 to 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brattleboro Outing Club Trails, 73 Senator Gannet Drive. Suggested donation of $10/single & $20/members of same household.
Basketball Clinic: Looking to improve your basketball skills and have fun? This is the place! Join Coach Henry & the BUHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team at the Gibson-Aiken Center. Pre-registration is required. Happening Dec. 30 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. (Grades K-2, Coed) and 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (Grades 3-6, Coed). $5 per participant.
