Town Offices Closed on MLK Day, Rec & Parks Offers Programs

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, with the exception of emergency services.

Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on January 20. All other violations will be enforced.

Brooks Memorial Library will be closed on January 20.

Trash, recycling, and composting will be collected on the regular schedule. Those services are NOT affected by the holiday.

 

Rec & Parks

The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Gibson-Aiken Center's main office will be closed on Jan. 20. There will be NO kindergarten basketball on Jan. 20. All other programs after 1:30 p.m. will run as normal.

Open Gym and Game Room: There will be additional Open Gym and Game Room hours on Jan. 20 and 21 for grades K-12 at the Gibson-Aiken Center. This FREE program is for children of all ages. It's a supervised program with a variety of activities to choose from, including basketball, foosball, air hockey, pool, arts & crafts, Legos, and more! Feel free to check the kids in with the Recreation & Parks staff, or stay and play with them!

Public Skating: There will be additional public skating times from on Jan. 20 and 21 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Skate rentals will be available for $3.
