Lower Body Boost: Physical Therapy Workout Series

The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department is partnering with Dr. Kayla Matuszewski from Empowered Physical Therapy to offer a mini-workout series called Lower Body Boost. This is the second part of a three-part workout series. You can still participate if you didn't complete the first series.

Register Online

Time: Wednesdays, 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Dates: Nov. 27 to Dec. 18, 2024

Fee per Session: $80 for Brattleboro residents; $95 for non-Brattleboro residents.

Location: Gibson-Aiken Center. Please note both virtual and in-person options are available.

Building on the strength of the pelvic floor and core from Series 1, this phase focuses on connecting the core to the glutes and hips for total lower-body power. However, even if you didn’t complete Series 1, you are welcome to join!

Each class is led by a doctor of physical therapy who will modify exercises and provide personalized guidance based on your starting point. Expect to activate and integrate your lower body with your core, boosting balance and strength while focusing on functional movements that benefit everyday life.

This is the perfect series for those wanting to enhance athletic performance, prevent injury, or simply build a more balanced lower body.

Individuals can register online or in person at the Gibson-Aiken Center, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon & 1 to 4:30 p.m.
