Senior Solutions
Senior Solutions Advisory Council Representative
In addition to the Board of Directors, Senior Solutions seeks representatives from each town in Windham and Windsor County. These people, who are interested in elder and caregiver issues, serve on the Advisory Council.
The monthly meetings of the Advisory Council are a combination of business, educational and social. Council members learn what is going on with Senior Solutions and other relevant agencies, share about the needs and activities related to aging in the towns, and enjoy some refreshments and networking. The role of an Advisory Council member can vary depending on the individual. Some members are not able to attend many meetings, but they keep in contact and receive all of the minutes and agendas. A Council member may be very helpful in outreach about Senior Solutions services, or in speaking up at town meeting in favor of funding for Senior Solutions.
Senior Solutions, which was formerly known as the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont, is a non-governmental non-profit organization. To learn more about Senior Solutions before applying as a representative, see www.seniorsolutionsvt.org or call 802-885-2714.
One or two members from the Town of Brattleboro may serve 1-year terms. The individual represents the Town of Brattleboro on the Senior Solutions Advisory Council.
