Brattleboro Housing Partnerships
The Brattleboro Housing Partnerships (BHP) Board Commissioners serve a five-year term. There are five Commissioners, including a Chair and Vice-Chair. The BHP Commissioners set overall policy and goals for BHP that, with the Executive Director, administrates all federally subsidized housing in town, including units at Hayes Court, Ledgewood Heights, Melrose Terrace (currently vacant), Moore Court, and Samuel Elliot Apartments, a Section 8 program, and the management of three tax credit properties: Red Clover Commons 1 and 2, and the Anne Wilder Richards Building.
The BHP Board meets monthly. Residents of Brattleboro as well as residents from towns given housing preference – including Guilford, Vernon, Dummerston, Halifax, Marlboro, Putney, Brookline, Newfane – are eligible to apply to be a Commissioner.
