View this guide as a PDF.

Political signs are not to be placed on the building or in the ground on the property. All signs must
be removed from the property by 8:00 p.m. on election night.

Campaigning or electioneering outside is only allowed in specific areas. No campaigners can
stand in walkways. No one can impede voters entering or exiting the building or parking areas.
If complaints are received due to aggressive or inappropriate behavior, you may be requested to
leave the premises.

No campaigning/electioneering or discussion of the election is to take place inside the building.
No visible campaign materials including apparel, signs, buttons, leaflets, or any other election
materials are permitted inside the building, unless out of sight.

Special interest groups/pollsters may request space to set up information tables inside the
building by contacting the town clerk no less than three working days prior to the election or
meeting.

The presiding officer reserves the right to limit the number of groups/pollsters depending upon
space availability. Special interest groups are responsible for providing their own table and chairs.

All literature/displays and set-up area of special interest groups/pollsters must have the
approval of the presiding officer and cannot contain content relative to the election or meeting
taking place.

Special interest groups/pollsters must remain in the designated boundary in the lobby so as
not to interfere with the flow of voters entering and exiting the building.

Poll watchers must report to the presiding officer for instructions.

Questions or comments regarding these policies may be directed to the town clerk.

Any person violating this policy may be asked to leave the premises or be removed by a law
enforcement officer.
