RTM Informational Forum on March 12
The Brattleboro Selectboard will hold a pre-Town Meeting informational forum on Wednesday, March 12 at Academy School. The public is invited to attend their district’s meeting and stay for the informational forum. Dependent care stipends are available for this meeting. For more information, contact the Town Manager’s Office.
District Meetings at 5:45 p.m.
At 5:45 p.m., prior to the informational forum, Town Meeting members for each district will be available to meet with constituents to offer residents an opportunity to share their views and discuss articles to be voted on at the annual meeting. Also at that time, all three districts have the opportunity to elect their District Chair for the year.
Districts 8 and 9 are currently full, and there will be no need to hold a caucus to appoint Town Meeting Representatives for those districts. UPDATE [03/10/25] — There is currently one seat to appoint in District 7. A caucus will be held for currently elected District 7 Representatives to appoint someone to fill that seat for a one-year term. This will take place during the 5:45 p.m. District Meeting.
Any residents from any of these districts interested in discussing RTM articles with their elected representatives is welcome to join the district meetings at 5:45 p.m. Classroom locations at Academy School for each District Meeting will be posted in the school lobby that evening.
