The 802 by 2032 campaign exemplifies a shared commitment to attracting and retaining the next generation (802 new residents by the year 2032). By working together to strengthen the conditions that make Brattleboro a desirable place to live, work, and put down roots, we can build a stronger future for everyone who calls, or will call, Brattleboro home.

To achieve the goal of adding 802 new households to Brattleboro by 2032, Next Gen is focused on four strategic priorities, or "pillars," which are affordability, advancement, vitality, and belonging.

Affordability: "I can afford to build a life here."

•  Housing, cost of living, stable taxes, modern services

Advancement: "I can see a future for myself here."

•  Good jobs, employers, career pathways, workforce training, healthcare access

Vitality: "There is so much to see and do here."

•  Arts and culture, downtown, third spaces, outdoor recreation, civic life

Belonging: "I feel like I belong here."

•  Welcoming community, social infrastructure, public and open spaces
