Take the Town Plan Community Survey
Brattleboro is updating its Town Plan. The Town Plan should reflect the community's key values and priorities. Please share your thoughts on what makes Brattleboro special today and what you would like to see changed in the future.
This survey is just one part of the planning process and there will be multiple opportunities to provide input over the next year.
About the Town Plan
The Brattleboro Planning Commission is updating the Town Plan. This plan will lay out a vision for Brattleboro’s future. There will be opportunities to get involved, including open monthly meetings of the Planning Commission, community surveys, community conversations, and workshops.
The 2026 Town Plan update will draw from the Town’s previous plan adopted in 2018, Downtown Design Plan (2021), Housing Action Plan (2021), Walk/Bike Master Plan (2023), and other recent planning studies.
How Does a Town Plan help Brattleboro?
• Manages growth and change
• Provides for predictable and orderly development
• Protects environmental resources
• Set priorities for developing and maintaining infrastructure and public facilities
• Create a framework for future policy decision
• Provides guidance to landowners, developers, and permitting authorities (local and state)
