Reminder: Fourth Quarter Taxes, Utilities Due May 15
The Finance Department is reminding the public that any amount unpaid after 5 p.m. on May 15, 2026, will have an 8% penalty and a 1% interest charge.
There are multiple ways to make your tax payments:
• Pay in person between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and noon or 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by cash, check or credit/debit cards.
• Use the Town Business drop box in the Municipal Center parking lot (checks only in a sealed envelope).
• Mail a check or money order, with an official postmark on or before the due date to be considered on-time. If mail is received postmarked after the May 15, 2026, it is late and penalties and interest will be applied.
• Visit our website brattleboro.gov/pay-bills-online and pay by credit/debit cards.
• Sign up for Direct Debit Program by visiting brattleboro.gov/direct-debit. The payment will be automatically withdrawn on the due date.
