Paving Updates – Sept. 18, 2026

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is providing regular updates about construction projects in Brattleboro. The latest update from VTrans was published on Sept. 18, 2026

Overnight work is planned for Friday, September 18, 2026 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Day work on Bridge 10B on U.S. Route 5 over Interstate 91 is scheduled to begin Monday, September 21, 2026 at 6:30 a.m.

 

Traffic Impacts

Vermont Route 9: (Night Work) — Single-lane closures with alternating traffic patterns controlled by flaggers will be in place from the Exit 2 interchange to the Edward Heights intersection from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday night through Saturday morning. No street-side parking will be available through the work zone. Motorists should watch for wet paint.

U.S. Route 5: Brattleboro (Night Work) — From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday night through Saturday morning, single-lane closures will be in place on U.S. 5 from the intersection with Eaton Avenue through the Exit 3 roundabout to the Old Ferry Road intersection with flaggers and uniformed traffic officers assisting traffic through alternating traffic patterns.

U.S. Route 5: Brattleboro-Putney (Day Work) — Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. single-lane closures will be in place on U.S. 5 on the bridge over Interstate 91 between Bennett Drive and Old Ferry Road. Flaggers will control alternating traffic patterns through daily work zones.
