Paving Updates – August 21, 2026

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is providing regular updates about the paving project in Brattleboro. The latest update from VTrans was published on August 21, 2026Fill out this form to receive email alerts about this project directly from VTrans.
 


 

No Interstate 91, Exit 3 closures will be necessary for the remainder of the project.

 

Traffic Impacts

Vermont Route 9: (Night Work) — Single-lane closures with alternating traffic patterns controlled by flaggers will be in place between the Edward Heights intersection and the Interstate 91, Exit 2 interchange. Monday night through Friday morning, work zones will be active from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Delays may be encountered particularly at the beginning and end of shift Tuesday through Thursday.


U.S. Route 5: Brattleboro (Night Work) — A mobile work zone is scheduled from Monday at 7 p.m. to Tuesday at 6 a.m. on U.S. 5 between Noah's Lane through the Exit 3 roundabout to Old Ferry Road intersection for pavement markings. Motorists should watch for wet paint.

From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday morning, single-lane closures will be in place from Noah's Lane to Old Ferry Road intersection with flaggers and uniformed traffic officers assisting traffic through alternating traffic patterns as needed.
