Oak Grove Corridor Paving Project Begins August 10
A contractor working on behalf of the Town of Brattleboro will begin paving operations within the Oak Grove Corridor on Monday, August 10, 2026. Work is expected to continue over the next several weeks as weather and construction conditions allow.
Construction activities will take place Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The project includes paving the following roadways:
- Oak Grove Avenue
- Coombs Street
- Baldwin Street
- Allen Street
- Clark Avenue
- Moreland Avenue
During paving operations, no on-street parking will be permitted on the streets actively being worked on. Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the roadway before work begins each day to help crews complete the project safely and efficiently. Vehicles left on the roadway during posted no-parking periods may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense to prevent delays and allow paving operations to proceed safely.
Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone. While roads will remain accessible whenever possible, residents may experience brief delays when entering or exiting their driveways as paving operations pass their properties.
Scheduled solid waste and recycling collection will not be affected by the construction. Residents should continue to place carts out on their normal collection day.
All emergency service providers have been notified of the project. Emergency response services, including police, fire, and EMS, will continue to provide the same level of service throughout construction.
The Town appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and motorists during this important infrastructure improvement project. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions while completing the work as safely and efficiently as possible.
