American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, one-time use federal funding, has been a factor throughout the FY25 budget process. During the Town’s Budget Engagement Open House, held on September 28, 2023, staff discussed potential ideas for ARPA directly with members of the public. These ideas were later developed into a public survey that asked respondents to select their prefered proposals as well as provide new ideas for considersation.
The results of this initial survey were discussed during the Selectboard meeting held on October 17, 2023 (Minutes, Watch).
A second survey, which incorporated ideas solicited from the public during the first survey, was distributed and later discussed during the Selectboard meeting held on December 19, 2023 (Minutes, Watch).
The Selectboard approved the proposed ARPA budget during its meeting on January 16, 2024 (Watch).
