Fire-EMS Transition Project

Overview

Throughout 2022-23, the Town of Brattleboro developed alternatives for how Fire and EMS services were provided. The goal was to gather information, analyze costs and risks, and choose a new approach by September 2023. Along the way, there were regular opportunities for the public to offer insight, input, and feedback. A final decision was made during a Selectboard meeting held on September 19, 2023. The Selectboard voted unanimously for the municipal model of emergency services.
