Swim Lessons 2024

The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department will be offering swim lessons at the Living Memorial Park Pool for children who are three years old by June 15, 2024.

(Note: The pool opens to the general public on June 15 at 1 p.m. For all things pool-related, check out our pool page.)

Registration

Swim Lessons are primarily for Brattleboro residents. Non-Brattleboro residents will be accepted if space is available. The Red Cross has developed a system for lessons, which is considerably different from the lesson criteria in past years. Therefore, each child must be tested before being placed in a class and should be prepared to go in the pool at registration.

If your child has a Red Cross Card from last summer, please bring it to registration, which occurs rain or shine at the Living Memorial Park Pool.

  • Brattleboro Residents: Register on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to noon or on Thursday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to noon
  • Non-Brattleboro Residents: Register on Friday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to noon

Sessions

There will be three sessions offered. Please note that each session is two weeks long.

  • Session 1: June 24 to July 5 (There will be no class on July 4)
  • Session 2: July 8 to July 19
  • Session 3: July 22 to August 2

Fees

Fees are $45 per session for Brattleboro residents and $60 per session for non-Brattleboro residents.

For more information, visit the pool section of our website or call the Gibson Aiken Office at 802-254-5808. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
