Request for Proposals: Municipal Solid Waste Services
The Town of Brattleboro, Vermont (herein after Town) will be accepting Proposals from companies experienced with the collection and proper disposal of residential Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) services along with the collection and
processing of recyclables. It is the intent of the Town to sign an agreement that bundles services for both MSW and recycling streams. The intent of this RFP is to select an experienced solid waste collection and disposal company to perform these services for the Town as outlined in the Scope of Work, for the coming 5 years.

Questions will be received until 5 p.m., 9/18/2026, and responses shared with all proposers by 5 p.m. on 9/25/2026 via email and the Town’s website. No fax proposals will be acceptable. All proposals submitted must be firm until March 31st, 2027, when the Town expects to have held its Town Meeting and passed the budget for fiscal year 2028.
Four original copies of the requested information should be placed in a sealed envelope with the following statement on the cover “PROPOSAL FOR MUNCIPAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF SERVICES & RECYCLING COLLECTION AND PROCESSING TOWN OF BRATTLEBORO, VT - DO NOT OPEN” along with the name, address and any license information of the submitting company and submitted to the physical address below, additionally one .PDF electronic file may be sent to the email below:
