Rec & Parks Holiday Programs and Winter Mini Camp

Additional Open Gym & Game Room hours: There will be additional Open Gym and Game Room hours at the Gibson-Aiken Center on December 26 through 29 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. for grades K-12th grade. Open Gym & Game Room is a wonderful FREE program for children of all ages. It's a supervised program with a variety of activities to choose from. Along with basketball, there is foosball, air hockey, pool, arts and crafts, LEGOs and more! Feel free to check them in with the Recreation & Parks staff or stay and play with them.
Bowling: The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department and Brattleboro Bowl are excited to announce that on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 they will be co-hosting a special event. The Brattleboro Bowl will be offering two games of bowling, shoe rental, a hot dog, and a drink for just $12 per person between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This event is open to children and adults of all ages. Please note that children under the age of 10 must be with an adult.
Basketball Clinic: Looking to improve your basketball skills and have fun? This is the place! Come join Coach Henry & the BUHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team. Pre-registration is required. A minimum of 8 participants is required to run each group and the maximum is 24 per age group. Call 802-254-5808 for more information. Happening on December 28 at the Gibson-Aiken Center Gymnasium. $5 per participant. Grades K-2 Coed: 10 to 11:15 a.m.; Grades 3- 6 Coed: 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Open Gym will immediately follow from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
Public Skating: The Skating Facility will be closed on December 24 and 25. There will be additional Public Skating hours on December 26 through 29 and on January 1 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Skate rentals are available for $3.
Winter Mini-Camp: Rec & Parks will be offering Winter Mini Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., December 26 to 29, 2023.
Join the Recreation & Parks staff for a fun-filled morning packed with games, sports, activities, arts, crafts, and more! A snack will be provided but we ask that you please bring a drink and lunch. Pre-registration is required by December 21. Over-the-phone registrations will NOT be accepted for Winter Mini Camp.
This program will take place at the Gibson-Aiken Center and is for children 5-11 years old. Please note: we require a minimum of six participants to run the program and our max is 20 kids.
The fee for Brattleboro residents is $15 a day, and the fee for non-Brattleboro residents is $18 a day.
On Thursday, December 28, we will meet at the Nelson Withington Skating Facility. Please bring skates (if you have them), a sled, and warm clothes.
