Fall Leaf Collection Schedule 2026

This year, leaves and yard waste will be picked up according to your normal trash, compost, and recycling pick-up day. The following dates have been scheduled for Brattleboro's curbside fall leaf collection:

All leaves and clippings must be in brown paper leaf bags and at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on scheduled leaf collection days.

•  Town leaf collection is designated for single-family residences or apartment buildings with 2, 3 or 4 units.  

•  Acceptable waste: leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, and twigs. 

•  DO NOT include household trash, invasive plants, or branches larger than 1 inch in diameter or 2 feet in length.

•  NO PLASTIC BAGS or other containers will be accepted curbside. Brown paper leaf bags are available for purchase at local businesses.

•  These will be the only dates scheduled for curbside leaf pick-up.

Those who wish to dispose of yard waste outside of this curbside pick-up schedule may take their yard waste to the Windham Solid Waste Management District at 327 Old Ferry Road in Brattleboro free of charge.
