Public Meeting: Canal Street Corridor Plan on Nov. 14
The Planning Department is hosting a second public forum regarding the Canal Street Corridor Plan and Stormwater Planning Project. The meeting will be held on Nov. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Selectboard Meeting Room at the Municipal Center (230 Main Street). The public may also attend on Zoom.
The Town of Brattleboro, in collaboration with SLR International Corporation, is developing a corridor plan for Canal Street/Route 5, stretching from the Hinsdale Bridge to Exit 1 on I-91. The plan aims to enhance the corridor by making it safer and more accommodating for walking, biking, wheeling, and taking the bus. Additionally, the project seeks to identify ways to enhance the public and commercial spaces along Canal Street, while incorporating best practices for stormwater management.
