Talking About Tech Returns Feb. 28
Brooks Memorial Library will host a guided discussion on identifying features of online scams for the spotlight subject of Talking About Tech, the monthly drop-in opportunity where technology users bring their questions and their advice.
This month’s gathering will take place Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in meeting Room D, 224 Main St., Brattleboro. Matthew Wojcik, the library's Electronic Services Specialist, will be on hand to provide expert help. Users of all levels of experience and expertise are encouraged to attend.
Talking About Tech is an interactive gathering; a bit like a book club, crossed with a crafting group, with a touch of a drop-in bike repair clinic. Each session begins with a 30-minute presentation on a tech topic of interest, followed by an hour for mutual tech support on the focus topic, other areas of need, or discussion of trends in technology like AI. Attendee input helps guide the content.
“Come if you're curious about tech, need help with your tech, or if you're tech-savvy and interested in helping your neighbors and peers. Maybe you have the answer someone else is looking for,” urges Wojcik. “Let us know what tech-related topics you have interest or expertise in. We are looking for subject suggestions and guest presenters.”
The program is free, open to the public, and accessible to people in wheelchairs. For more information, contact Brooks Memorial Library at 802-254-5290 or visit www.brookslibraryvt.org.
