Fire Department Temporarily Suspends Burn Permits - April 22, 2024
Due to dry conditions throughout the region, the Brattleboro Fire Department will not be issuing burn permits until further notice.
Fine fuels, such as grass and leaf litter, will continue to dry across the region. This combined with low relative humidity values of 15 to 25 percent and northwest winds gusting up to 20mph may have an impact on fire weather conditions.
If any fires were to start, the weather and fuel conditions could cause fires to quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain.
