Presidents' Day Closures, Rec & Parks Programs
In observance of Presidents’ Day, all Brattleboro Town offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, with the exception of emergency services.
Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on Monday, Feb. 16. All other violations will be enforced.
Brooks Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16.
Trash, recycling, and composting are NOT affected by the holiday. Collections will take place on the normal schedule.
Rec & Parks Programming
In observance of Presidents' Day, the Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Gibson-Aiken Center's main office will be closed on Monday, Feb.16. Please note that all programs after 1:30 p.m. will run as normal.
There will be additional Open Gym & Game Room hours on Feb. 16 for grades K-12 at the Gibson-Aiken Center. Open Gym & Game Room is a wonderful, FREE program for children of all ages. It's a supervised program with a variety of activities to choose from. Along with basketball there is foosball, air hockey, pool, arts and crafts, LEGOs, and more! Feel free to check them in with the Rec & Parks staff or stay and play with them!
In addition, there will be additional public skating time on Feb. 16 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Skate rentals will be available for $3.
