Dependent Care Reimbursement Forms Available at Open Town Meeting
There is a small Dependent Care fund for Brattleboro’s Town Meeting on Saturday, April 11, 2026, community-funded and managed in partnership with United Way of Windham County. The goal of the fund is to reduce barriers to participation associated with the challenge and expense of care for dependent children or elders, for family members who attend and vote at Town Meeting. Care for pets is not eligible.
How to Apply
Request forms will be available for the first time at Town Meeting on April 11, near the Clerk’s table. Complete the form and turn it in with a volunteer when you leave the meeting, for the hours that you attended. Funds are limited and will be reimbursed soon after Town Meeting on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is advised to submit the request before you leave the meeting. It is not possible to know how many will apply, so no funds can be guaranteed to anyone, in advance.
