Charter Revision Commission Schedule
The Town Charter helps guide our community's decision-making. Every 15 years, the Selectboard appoints a commission to review the charter and make adjustments. The Charter Revision Commission is inviting the public to join their upcoming meetings. (Recordings of the meetings are posted on BCTV's YouTube channel.)
Below is an outline of what the group will be discussing in the months ahead.
The Commission will meet next on Thursday, February 15 at 6:15 p.m. in the Selectboard Meeting Room in the Municipal Center, 230 Main Street.
The meeting agenda includes a discussion of Representative Town Meeting and the open town meeting form of government. The commission will also review the Powers of the People, including those outlined in Article III of the Town Charter.
