Burn Ban Lifted

The Town of Brattleboro is officially lifting the burn ban, which began on July 25, 2025, effective immediately, following recent improvements in weather conditions.

The decision comes after a period of increased fire risk due to dry conditions. With recent rainfall and a reduction in fire danger levels, residents are now permitted to resume open burning activities in accordance with local regulations.

We remind all residents to continue exercising caution when burning and to follow all safety guidelines, including:

  • Never leave a fire unattended.

  • Keep water or fire suppression tools nearby.

  • Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area.

The Town of Brattleboro will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. We appreciate the community’s cooperation during the burn ban period and thank you for helping to keep Brattleboro safe.
