Burn Ban Lifted
The Town of Brattleboro is lifting the burn ban, effective immediately, due to recent improvements in weather conditions and future forecasts.
This decision follows a period of heightened fire risk due to dry conditions. With the recent reduction in fire danger levels, residents may now resume open burning activities in accordance with local regulations.
We remind all residents to continue exercising caution and follow these safety guidelines:
- Never leave a fire unattended.
- Only natural wood material may be used.
- Keep water or fire suppression tools nearby.
- Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area.
- Apply for a burn permit at https://brattleboro.gov/burn-permits
The Brattleboro Fire Department will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. We appreciate the community’s cooperation during the burn ban and thank you for helping keep Brattleboro safe.
